Behavioral Health

Call (970) 445-2489 to make a telehealth appointment or an in-person appointment in Avon or Eagle. Behavioral health services are currently available via telehealth in Summit County. You can schedule an appointment and meet with our Summit County providers Kady Leibovitz, LCSW and John Nash, LCSW, or call (970) 445-2489.

Mental health services for children 2 years and older, teens, adults and seniors are provided by Colorado Mountain Medical's team of behavioral health therapists and providers.

Mental health affects well-being in more ways than we often know. Our goal at Colorado Mountain Medical is to treat mental health needs the same as physical health needs. Our team of therapists helps with short or long term emotional and behavioral concerns. We are here to support you on your journey to mind and body health!

Colorado Mountain Medical offers: 
  • Early Childhood Services
  • Local Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to help cover the costs of Behavioral Health visits. Please check with your employer to see if they offer an EAP that you may qualify for. While many EAPs offer financial assistance to employees and their dependents, for up to six sessions, still be sure to confirm your EAP benefits with your employer. 
    • Current EAP Partnerships:
      • Mountain Strong for eligible employees of Vail Health, Colorado Mountain Medical and Howard Head Sports Medicine.
      • ComPsych for eligible employees of Vail Resorts.
      • Triad for eligible employees of the school district, library district, and many more.

  • Psychiatric Medication Management - Colorado Mountain Medical’s psychiatric medication team provides appointments for medication management to treat behavioral health/mental health as well as medication-assisted treatment for substance withdrawal or chronic pain management. 
    • Dr. Elaine Sandler works with ages 5 - 60 and primarily treats children and adolescents. 
      Brandon Smith, Joe Drew, and Dr. Ben Nissen work with ages 18 and up.
    • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
    • All the providers can see patients both in-person and via telehealth.
